What Is Backstory?
Backstory is essential background information about a character’s past that can enhance the story when integrated effectively. It should be presented in a way that engages readers’ imaginations, often through dialogue or flashbacks, and should only be included if it advances the plot.
While it provides depth and believability, excessive backstory can detract from the narrative.
